Fresh or Dried Flowers in Watercolour – with renowned local artist Ruth Eales
Sunday 27th October 10am - 1pm
By popular demand we are hosting a second workshop with Ruth. Spend a morning at the farm letting your creativity loose. Ruth is a very talented artist whose work is showcased here in The Granary. Ruth won the SAA's (Society for All Artists) coveted "Young Artist of the Year" award 2017, as well as "Best Young Animal or Wildlife".
The morning will start in the cutting garden with Rosie where you can pick a collection of floral subjects or if the frosts have beaten us we will also have dried flowers to choose from. Bring a favoured glass vase or flower vessel (we have plenty to choose from if not) and then off to The Old Dairy where you choose the crucial stems you wish to paint and arrange in your vase. We are looking to focus on just a few flowers in a simple composition rather than trying to paint a large vase full and be overwhelmed at the prospect. Ruth will teach and guide you in creating your own watercolour painting of them.
We are keen to offer this workshop to everyone, making it as inclusive as possible so don't think you need to know your way around a paint brush - just come along and give it a go.
Price: £45 per person including all materials, tuition, homemade cake and refreshments, your painted masterpiece and your own handpicked bunch of flowers.
